Project details

The Toodledo Outlook Sync application is a freeware application that allows Toodledo users to Synchronize their Toodledo and Outlook task items. This application is hosted at www.chromadrake.com

In certain environments this application cannot automatically synchronize with Outlook because it is blocked by the Outlook Security Model security prompt.

There is a simple fix for this but it involves purchasing a commercial license for the Redemption Outlook library (http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/) This library is US$199

If enough money to purchase this license is pledged then I will update the tool to use this library.

I have started a branch of this application to integrate a trial version of the Redemption client.

Thanks for pledging, but it seems this project is not really needed. There are third party tools that can be used to bypass the security prompt in Outlook 2003. Please see below

I have tried the mapilab solution and it works OK.

I think there is still a benefit for Toodledo Outlook Sync to be a standalone functional application that does not require one of the applications in your comment above. That way anybody can install your application without having to worry about installing anything else. A lot of people will find this too overwhelming will simply not use your app.

Just my thoughts.

Installed MapiLab, but have not figured out yet how to configure it to avoid the annoying security dialog. Agree that this needs a more seamless approach.

MapiLab worked after I rebooted (restarting Outlook was not enough).

If you have pledged to this project you should be able to retrieve your pledged funds through Micropledge interface. Please do so, as it is very unlikely that this development will proceed .
